You can insert Runewords into the following types of non-magic gear: However, combining specific Runes in a particular order in the correct base item creates a Runeword, which packs on a number of other features, fundamentally changing the quality of the gear item. Runes all have great extra properties that you can add to socketed gear. These feature the best Runewords for getting a head start on leveling! There's no going back once you've put the Runes in, there's no removing them without destroying all your Runes.
